Eligibility Criteria for UG Program in the Japan:

In Japan, there are around 250 English-taught programs. Universities in Japan will want to see proof that you are proficient in English so that you can succeed in their courses. These official English tests are accepted by almost all Japanese universities:

PTE Academic – PTE Academic is a single, short test that assesses your English speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities.

IELTS – Foreign candidates considering studying or working in a country where English is the primary language of communication must take an English language exam.

TOEFL – The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is a standardized test that assesses a person’s ability to communicate in English. Universities primarily employ TOEFL scores as part of the admissions process.

C1 Advanced – It is a comprehensive, high-level qualification that demonstrates you possess the language abilities that businesses and universities need.

 

Intake & Application Deadlines

UG Course Duration in Japan

The length of an undergraduate course in Japan is determined by the type of institution that students attend.

A university offers four-year undergraduate program in Japan that culminates in the awarding of a Bachelor’s degree to the students. As a result, a Bachelor’s degree requires a minimum of four years of study and 124 credits.

An associate degree is a type of diploma granted by junior colleges and technical institutes. Courses at a junior college last two to three years, and to graduate and receive a degree, the student must earn 62 credits at a two-year institution and 93 credits for a three-year college.

Tuition Fees

The most important factor in calculating the cost of studying in Japan is the tuition fee, which varies depending on the program and university. When compared to European and American countries, Japan is comparatively inexpensive however, the program fees at these Japanese colleges might vary significantly.

The average tuition rate for undergraduate courses ranges from 12,40,000 Yen to 28,30,000 YEN (roughly 8,50,000- 20,00,000 INR).

Important documents required for application:

  • Recommendation letters from past teachers and professors.
  • Proof that you have sufficient finances to support your studies and living costs in Japan.
  • Statement of high school grades or an accredited high school diploma
  • Original copy of your valid passport
  • 6 passport photos
  • Health certificate
  • A letter of good standing from the Ministry of Internal Affairs in your home country
  • Pass the university entrance exam. The exam will include basic academic questions in addition to language-related questions
  • Pass an official English exam

Student Visa

There are 3 types of Visas. The visa you need depends on how long you are going to study in Japan:

  • Visa for Short-term course up to 90 days
  • Visa for more than 90 days but less than 20 weeks
  • Visa for long-term courses 20 weeks to 2 years
