For Indians taking the test either within the country or outside the country, the only acceptable form of ID is a valid Passport. Though Passport details are not required for GRE registration, it is good to have the passport in hand while registering for GRE. The Name and Date of Birth entered should match with your Passport. Any mismatch in First Name, Surname or Date of Birth would lead to disqualification for the test on the test day.
Test Centres and Dates Availability
GRE test centres are available in major cities. You can select the test centre, date, and time according to your convenience subject to availability. Check for the availability here:
Accommodations Available For Test Takers with Disabilities Or Health-Related Needs
ETS allows accommodations for people with disabilities or health-related needs. This includes extended break, beverages or snacks into test room or use of special equipment. To apply for the accommodations, the student should send completed forms and necessary documentation either through online, mail, email or by courier. Read the bulletin for necessary information about the accommodations.
Rescheduling or Cancelling the Exam
The cancellation or rescheduling of the GRE General Test should happen at least four working days before the actual test date. If delayed, it could lead to forfeiting the test fee. To reschedule or to cancel the test, use your ETS Account. To reschedule by phone, contact the appropriate RRCs.
