IELTS jointly owned and conducted by IDP Education Australia, British Council, and Cambridge English Language Assessment is an English proficiency test taken by candidates all over the world. The registration fee for the IELTS Exam is Rs. 17,000.

What is IELTS Cancellation Fee?

Information regarding IELTS exam cancellation fee:

• If your IELTS application is canceled for more than five weeks before your IELTS test date, the refund you will receive a refund minus an administration fee.
• If you cancel or postpone your test within 5 weeks of your test date, you will be charged the full fee unless you have a serious medical reason for needing to cancel or postpone it.
• If you fail to appear for the test, then, in that case, you will not receive any refund and this will be considered as a cancelation.

Please note that those who can produce a medical certificate within 5 days of the test date can receive the refund after deducting the local administrative cost.

IELTS Result Validity

The validity of your IELTS TRF is two years from the date of issue. You can also retake the test as many times as you like by reregistering and paying the exam price. And as long as the various results are valid, you can provide any of them.

IELTS Retake Fee

If an applicant needs to retake the exam due to a lower score or for any other reason, the full IELTS application fee must be paid. In terms of the IELTS fee, there is no difference between registering and retaking the exam.

IELTS Special Handling Requests

IELTS provides a level playing field for all applicants, regardless of disability or need for special assistance. For any difficulties aid for vision, hearing, or speaking, learning, a notice must be sent to the test facility six weeks in advance.

What is IELTS Rescheduling Fee?

If you are planning to change your IELTS test date, then you can request for the same at least five weeks before your actual IELTS test date, which you have booked. You will need to pay for the cancellation/postponement fee. Also, make sure the new test date must be within three months of the original test date.

IELTS Rechecking Fees

Rechecking is an option for test takers who are dissatisfied with their score. They must pay Rs. 8,475 in remarking fees. To use the remarking feature in IELTS, you must fill out an EOR form. Students might choose to remark only one section of the test or all of the sections.

Modes Of Payment For IELTS Exam Fee

• Credit/ Debit (Visa or Master) and Netbanking
• Demand Draft – Please ensure that the demand draft is drawn in favor of “IDP EDUCATION INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, Payable at New Delhi” and is made from the list of approved banks. Find the list in the Terms & Conditions document here.
• Bank deposit – Alternatively, candidates can deposit cash in ICICI/HDFC bank branches through a customized deposit slip that can either be downloaded from IELTS IDP India website or obtained from the nearest IELTS IDP branch office/ referral partner. It is mandatory to attach the original customer copy of the deposit slip along with the IELTS application form

IELTS Exam Important Dates

The IELTS test is available multiple times throughout the year and therefore, you are advised to book an IELTS test date at your convenience.  However, you need to consider the admission deadline of the university you are applying to. It is suggested to choose an exam date 3-4 months before the application deadline. Also, it is advised to book your IELTS test dates in advance to avoid any last-minute errors.
