The Penn State Ken and Mary Alice Lindquist Department of Nuclear Engineering relates theory to practice in a way that most universities cannot. In the Radiation Science and Engineering Center, nuclear engineering students can take advantage of the Breazeale Nuclear Reactor, the longest operating licensed university research reactor in the country. Welcome to the Ken and Mary Alice Department of Nuclear Engineering at Penn State. Our faculty and students are innovating today what will impact tomorrow’s solutions to meeting our energy needs. We offer B.S. degrees in nuclear engineering as well as resident (M.S., Ph.D.) and online graduate degrees in nuclear engineering.
