Graduate students in residence, pursuing a three-year MFA degree, define their place in the contemporary stream of design through independent study and interdisciplinary research. Progress is evaluated through weekly design group critiques, combined studio walkthroughs, and studio faculty reviews. Studio design presentations commence with the ?New Faces? show in the Isis Gallery and conclude with the MFA Thesis Show in the O?Shaughnessy Gallery of the Snite Museum of Art.

Entry requirements for University of Notre Dame

Prerequisites for admission ordinarily include the B.F.A. degree in studio art or design, including courses in art and art history. However, students of exceptional merit who have earned the B.A./B.S. degree in studio art or design or the equivalent will be considered. All applicants must have a B (3.0 GPA) or better average in undergraduate major courses. If you are taking the TOEFL IBT, then the minimum score is a total of 80 points, with a minimum of 23 on the Speaking section. If you are taking the IELTS, the minimum score is 7.0.
