Yale University is situated 90 minutes from New York in the city of New Haven, Connecticut. Yale's central campus in city centre New Haven covers 260 acres, its medical campus is adjoining to the Yale New Haven Hospital. In western New Haven, the university holds 500 acres of athletic facilities, including the Yale Golf Course.

Yale's foreign-citizen financial aid policies are similar to those for US citizens: need-blind admissions and need-based assistance. "Need-blind" means that Yale College accepts students on the basis of academic and personal promise, regardless of their willingness to pay. "Need-based" means that the financial aid packages are based on the evaluation of individual needs. International students are evaluated using a needs analysis that takes into account the relative disparities between the US economy and the economies of the home countries of students.
