Wayne State University

Wayne State has been a pioneering urban centre of higher learning since 1868, when a group of Civil War doctors envisaged a better world through improved medicine. Since its creation as the Detroit Medical College, it has grown to become one of the 50 biggest public universities in the United States, offering nearly 350 degree and certificate programs through 13 schools and colleges. Since 1915, Wayne State University has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, one of six regional accrediting agencies in the United States that delivers endorsement to colleges and universities at the institutional level.
