The University of South Dakota is found on a lovely 274-acre field in cinnabar, a little community snuggled on the bluffs on top of the Missouri within the southeast corner of South Dakota. Vermillion is a safe, hospitable host for the university and recreational and cultural opportunities occur in the town, the near country and in neighboring communities. All first-time freshmen students who apply for admission to USD are automatically considered for up to $3,500 per year. Students must submit a complete application for admission with all required supporting documents as well as an SAT or ACT official test score. No additional scholarship application is required; all complete applications with test scores are considered. The award is renewable for four years as long as students maintain full-time enrollment and the minimum grade point average.  Read less
