Campus Recreation enhances the academic encounters of University of Montana students and offers all members excellent health, fitness, and recreational chances. Also, to support staff and state-of-the-art facilities, Campus Recreation provides facilities, events, and pioneering courses. Program areas include aquatics, fitness programs, golf, intramural sports, outdoor programs, and youth camps. Student group involvement is an integral part of college involvement. ASUM-identified student groups exemplify a wide array of academic, pre-professional, spiritual, political, musical, support, service, sport, and special interest topics. Presently, there are almost 200 ASUM known clubs and organizations, of which around three-fourths receive a direct subsidy from ASUM.

The main campus spans 56 acres at the base of Mount Sentinel along the Clark Fork River. It comprises the park-like Oval at the center of campus, more than 60 architecturally unique buildings, and a 25,200-seat football stadium. UM’s 180-acre South Campus presents student housing, a golf course, soccer fields, and outdoor track service. Missoula College occupies two sites in central and west Missoula.
