Golden West College, part of the California Community College system, was established in 1965 and is located within the city of Huntington Beach, a coastal community just 30 miles south of Los Angeles and in the heart of stunning Southern California, on 120 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. With over 500 faculty serving nearly 13,000 students, the college holds full accreditation by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
In addition to a wide range of short-term vocational (Certificate) choices, small classes, state-of-the-art facilities, and superior faculty prepare foreign students for an Associate in Arts degree, transfer to a university. Golden West College aims to be a vibrant learning center where, in a fun, stimulating, and innovative environment, students and faculty exchange educational experiences. A variety of ways for students to actively engage in campus life are offered by the Student Activities Office. The Golden West acceptance rate is 100%.
Scholarships are in place to help international students with their living and learning expenses. The International Student Program at the college offers a number of funding opportunities for students, including the Stephanie Dumont Scholarship which awards up to USD 500 to assist newly admitted international student.
