Students interested in the interdisciplinary study of digital innovation are invited to apply for a Ph.D. in digital innovation. Admitted students will be part of the Center for Digital Innovation, a college-level interdisciplinary research center on digital innovation to create value and address high-impact problems in business and society. Graduates will receive a Ph.D. in computer information systems and leave prepared for careers at major research universities. In consultation with the Ph.D. coordinator and other faculty, students configure a program of study that will include subject matter seminars in information systems and other disciplines, a rigorous sequence of research methods courses (e.g., econometrics, statistics, computational techniques, experimental design, qualitative techniques), a course in theory development, and a course in university teaching.
