Georgetown Located in Washington, D.C. founded in 1789, is the oldest Catholic and Jesuit University in the country. Building on Jesuit education's 450-year-old tradition, The university is approved by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States. Each year Georgetown University awards several hundred need-based scholarships to eligible undergraduates. Individual awards range in value from $1,000 to more than $60,000 per year, depending on the student’s financial need. In addition to small loan and work-study awards, these scholarships meet 100% of eligible undergraduates’ demonstrated financial need.
