Colorado State's Student Leadership, Involvement, and Community Engagement Office hosts some of the country's best community service programs, with more than 6,000 students involved in public university outreach. The CSU faculty played a major role in the founding of the Peace Corps, and today CSU remains one of the key sources of volunteers for the Peace Corps.

The University, located in Fort Collins, Colorado, is located on approximately 5,000 acres of land, including the main campus, the foothills campus, the agricultural campus, and the Mountain Campus. Colorado State also has 4,600 acres for testing centers, cooperative expansion offices, and Colorado State Forest Service stations. Fort Collins is an award-winning town situated on the edge of the Rocky Mountains, with its foothills and 14,000-foot peaks visible to residents. Simple access to hiking, skiing, rafting, and other outdoor activities is a great benefit for CSU students, faculty, and staff. Located north of the Denver metro area, CSU is around an hour's drive from Denver International Airport.

At, CSU students are provided with financial aid in the form scholarships, unless otherwise noted: all scholarships are for students starting in the fall or spring, scholarships are not awarded to students starting in the summer time, CSU online students are not eligible for scholarships.
