Chartered in 1845 by the Republic of Texas through the efforts of Baptist settlers, Baylor is Texas' oldest continuously operating university. Located in Waco, Baylor invites students from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and 89 countries to study a wide variety of degrees within its 12 nationally recognized academic divisions.

Students can find more choices, opportunities, and space to explore. With Baylor's broad variety of offerings, students can follow almost any career direction. The university offers more than 142 baccalaureate programs in fields as diverse as finance, education, nursing, pre-medicine, music, and computer science. In addition, Baylor offers 75 Master's degrees, 42 graduate programs, and the Curriculum Specialist program.
