A dedicated Academic Centre for International Students (ACIS) is supported by the university and also provides a meeting and welcome service at the airport, welcoming students from the moment they arrive in the UK. Students will have everything they need to succeed in a perfect working atmosphere with state-of-the-art facilities, including an RJ Mitchell wind tunnel and an impressive 5 distinct libraries throughout the 7 campuses. They will also strive to be in the best possible role while looking for a career in their chosen field with the latest technologies. 84% of students stated they were pleased with the content of the course offered at Southampton (NSS 2017) (NSS 2017).

The University of Southampton currently has 15,790 undergraduate and 6,925 postgraduate students, making it the largest university of higher education students in the South East country. The University of Southampton Students' Union provides support, representation, and social events for students, ranging from participation in the four media channels of the Union to each of the 200 affiliated businesses and 80 sports. The university maintains and runs a playing ground for students and also operates a sports complex on the main campus.

Southampton awards a wide variety of academic degrees including academic degrees with bachelor's degrees and master's degrees, as well as junior doctoral degrees and upper doctoral degrees. The university is part of the Engineering Ph.D. program for the award of Eng. D. degrees.

Annually, the University of Southampton awards a number of Undergraduate Merit Scholarships to foreign undergraduate applicants. They shall be granted on the grounds of academic merit. You will get a limit of 3,000 pounds, which would be a discount on the tuition fees. This scholarship is not available for international students also, who are pursuing one or more of these undergraduate programs (Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Engineering and Physical Sciences, Environmental and Life Sciences) at the university.
