Students also benefit from major savings on sports tickets due to DMU's affiliation with the Leicester City Football Club, the newly-promoted Premier League, the 10-time rugby union champion Leicester Tigers, and the Leicestershire County Cricket Club. Based in Leicester, in the heart of England, DMU is a lively, multicultural center of creativity and innovation that never gives way to a convention. It offers a positive learning atmosphere in which students are encouraged to develop their skills, be innovative, and question the status quo.

The university provides £1,000 in cash a year (excluding graduation years) to home students studying full time and paying a tuition fees of £9,000 or £9,250. The Access to Higher Education Scholarship is available if you are admitted to an Access to Higher Education Scholarship (where it is an entry requirement for the course). Eligible students are automatically categorized and contacted before beginning their studies at the DMU, there is no separate application for an Access Scholarship. Article 26 scholarships, Unite Foundation Scholarship are few other types scholarships provided by the university.
