The Arts, Literature and Communication (ALC) program offers its students an opportunity to explore, create andappreciate culture in a well structured program. ALC offers a wide variety of courses with teachers who are professionals in their field, using an innovative multi-media and multi-disciplinary approach. The aim of this program is to provide students with a broad knowledge and an excellent opportunity to develop their imagination, technical skills and critical thinking.It is a flexible program designed to allow students to choose from a variety of courses in cultural studies, languages and production. Students leave this program with an understanding of cultural institutions and their place in society as well as an appreciation of the socio-cultural implications of the arts and/or languages.

The John Abbott College Foundation supports students with a variety of scholarships (merit-based) and bursaries (needs-based). As well, further financial assistance can be provided to students who are eligible.
