The Master in Fine Arts (MFA) in Writing welcomes writers of all genres fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and playwriting as well as visual artists who work with language as an integral component of their practice. The two-year program provides a rigorous yet flexible curriculum to challenge and accommodate individual explorations of process and form. Curriculum includes : Graduate Projects, Workshops, Seminars, Electives, Thesis.

SAIC receives between 30 and 40 applications for Tuition Exchange scholarships per year and is eligible to award between five and six. The sum of the annual scholarship shall be determined on an annual basis by the consortium. For the academic year 2020–21, the set amount is $38,000 and for the academic year 2021–22, the set amount is $39,000.
