Courses (Know about the Institution)

The Harry Lynde Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers graduate degree programs leading to the Master of Engineering (M.Eng.), Master of Science (M.S.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in electrical engineering and computer engineering. All degree programs are offered through the Blacksburg campus as well as extended campus consortia (National Capital Region, Northern Virginia Center, Falls Church, Virginia, Central, Hampton Roads, Western, and VT-MENA through Alexandria and Cairo, Egypt). For the master's degree, each plan of study, developed by the student in consultation with his or her faculty advisor, must contain a limited number of core courses. The M.S. degree program requires a thesis. The M.Eng. is a non-thesis degree program and is especially suitable for part-time graduate students employed as engineers by industry and government agencies.
