The Advanced and Tax Concentrations are each a 33-hour program of study and designed for individuals who have already earned a BBA with a concentration in accounting. The Anderson MACCT prepares students with or without accounting backgrounds in the accounting profession to be experts in areas such as taxation, information assurance, auditing, finance, fraud, and managerial accounting.

With individualized attention from the MACCT staff and professors, students obtain the skills and analytical thinking to become CPAs and leaders in their fields. All concentrations in the MACCT program are 33 credit hours and prepare students to take the CPA exam upon completion.

There are many opportunities for new students — over 72 million dollars in scholarships awarded in the 2019-2020 year at the University of New Mexico, with thousands of new students receiving an award. Scholarships are merit-based and awards are competitive.
