The School of Information Science & Learning Technologies is home to MU’s graduate programs in Library and Information Science and Educational Technology as well as an interdisciplinary doctoral program in Information Science & Learning Technologies. SISLT faculty are internationally renowned for their research and development accomplishments. Nowhere is this more evident than in the Allen Institute, a 10,000 square foot facility dedicated to supporting collaborative R&D at the intersection of Information & Learning.As a doctoral student in the School of Information Science & Learning Technologies, you can follow interdisciplinary paths. Approaches to inquiry include technical, cognitive, epistemological, cultural, political, and economic aspects of informing and learning. Advanced study of contemporary learning and instructional theories. Advanced networked learning systems, including digital libraries and learning communities. Human institutions, including libraries, that support the production and dissemination of and access to information.
