The Master of Science in Accounting (M.S.A.) is designed to help professionals understand the function of accounting within their organizations and in the global marketplace and to relate sophisticated theoretical concepts to practical problems. The demand for specialists in the field of accounting has accelerated dramatically as financial regulations have evolved and will only continue to grow as corporations continue to become more transparent.
Graduates of the M.S.A. program are prepared to leverage their knowledge and skills to become the accounting professionals of the future. The one-year, 33-credit M.S.A. program, offered on campus and online, fulfills all of the accounting education requirements to sit for the uniform CPA examination and fulfills the education requirements to be licensed as a certified public accountant (CPA) in the State of New York. Because of our top-tier accreditation, most other states accept the M.S.A. as meeting their education requirements for licensure.
