Our seven Master of Laws (LL.M.) programs focus on many of the most compelling and challenging areas of advanced study for lawyers. Designed for both foreign-trained lawyers and domestic students holding a J.D., the LL.M. programs at UW Law allow legal professionals to deepen their knowledge and expand their proficiency. Students take advantage of UW Law's location in Seattle, engaging in the city's real-world learning environment, and participate in programs and partnerships that support future lawyers and professionals. With six specialized tracks and the fully customizable General LL.M. program, students shape their course of study to meet their professional and personal interests. Building on several core courses, students expand their learning by selecting from a wide variety of advanced, industry-focused and interdisciplinary electives, and can even take courses from others schools at the UW.
