Lehigh's unique arts and engineering program allow students to pursue convergent and complementary interests. It is a five-year dual-degree program administered by the College of Arts and Sciences, with students earning two bachelor's degrees: one from the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science and another from the College of Arts and Sciences.

Arts engineers fulfill all requirements for the professional engineering degree for which they are working. However, the first three years of science and engineering courses are spread out over four years, and during this time, the art engineer is a student in the College of Arts and Sciences pursuing a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science major program.

In many instances, it may be advisable to take the two degrees at the end of the fifth year.
