The primary goal of North’s Computer Science program is to prepare you for successful transfer to a 4-year institution. Three levels of computer science courses satisfy the prerequisites for most computer science and engineering departments at the UW and other universities. North transfers many students to 4-year colleges every year. These students succeed in all areas of engineering and computer science. Enter the program by taking Intermediate Algebra. Then take 1, 2, or 3 quarters of computer science courses as required by your major. Our strong curriculum employs modern programming languages. CS faculty members all have master’s degrees in related fields with many years of work experience and varied interests and specialties including open source software, linguistics and application software in engineering fields.
