Stenberg college was initially founded in 1990 by Mary Jane Stenberg. In 2003, the Education Corporation Inc. acquired Stenberg College. TEC, was established by an old group of educators who sponsored and managed the Digital Imaging and Sound (CDIS) medium from 1979 to 2003. Additionally to Stenberg College, TEC manages variety of alternative instructional establishments across Canada together with the Centre for Arts and Technology.
