McMaster University

Established in 1887, McMaster University is one of only four Canadian universities (and one of only two in Ontario) reliably rated among the world's top 100 by the significant worldwide ranking systems. A medical-doctoral, research-intensive university, McMaster is devoted to teaching, learning, and service. In the 1960s, it established the problem-based learning method that came to be known around the world as the McMaster model. Scholarships are awarded based on your academic and extracurricular achievements. Some are automatically awarded based on grades and others require an application. Bursaries are funding provided by McMaster based solely on financial need. In most cases information from your OSAP application is used to determine your financial need but some students who don’t receive OSAP may still apply for a bursary.
