Fleming College

Fleming College is named after famous Canadian inventor and engineer Sir Sanford Fleming, with more than 100 full-time programs in the fields of arts and heritage, business, environmental and natural resource sciences, general arts, and sciences, health and wellness, justice, and community growth, skilled trades and technology, and continuing education. Fleming has plenty to sell to all students, postgraduate programs, apprenticeships, Diploma programs, and certificates, as well as part-time or continuing education courses and online courses.

This variety of choices allows for greater versatility and accessibility in order to better address the diverse needs of our students. Fleming College programs provide experiential learning experiences to help students transfer from post-secondary education to jobs in the future. Fleming College is situated in the heart of central Ontario and has campus sites in Peterborough, Lindsay, Cobourg, and Halliburton. Sutherland Campus is located 200 acres in the City of Peterborough and is the largest campus with approximately 5,200 full-time students and 70 full-time programs. Peterborough is one of Canada's most walkable cities, offering a lively urban lifestyle. National and international manufacturing and technology firms, including Siemens, PepsiCo, and Rolls Royce, are operating here.

As a full-time undergraduate, you can earn free membership in the Peterborough Sport & Wellness Centre, services include Triple gymnasium, Aquatic Complex, Saunas, Weight Lifting, Recreation, and Therapeutic Baths. Intramural events are unique to the campus, Sutherland Campus offers a wide variety of events and leagues during the year, including soccer, Ultimate Water Sports, Football, Dodgeball, Camping, Canoeing.

The college has about $2 million available annually for tuition and grants. Support for these grants and scholarships is given by a number of sources: a proportion of the payments received by Fleming College are distributed to the Financial Need Bursary Scheme for full-time students, through the efforts of the Department of Advancement and Alumni Relations of the Fleming Institution, they are able to give various funded scholarships to donors.
