This program provides students with excellent opportunities for career enhancement and professional growth. This degree will appeal primarily to graduate Geomatics Engineering Technologists who wish to pursue professional accreditation as Land Surveyors or develop their careers in other areas of Geomatics such as mapping or hydro graph.

The Association of British Columbia Land Surveyors have developed a number of videos which give an insight into the exciting career of a land surveyor - for further information on becoming a BC Land Surveyor visit www.abcls.ca.

BCIT scholarships are awarded to students who achieved the highest average in the first year of their program while maintaining a course load of 100 percent. Students will be notified of results in the fall of their second year of study. There is no need for an application. In order to be eligible for entrance, scholarship, or graduation awards, a student must be enrolled at a minimum of 60 percent of the course load; 40 percent for students with approved permanent disability status; 12 credits minimum per term for graduation.
