The Master of Accountancy program at GW prepares students for high-level professional careers in the public and private sectors. A flexible program tailored to individual interests and career objectives in accounting, financial management, and tax practice. The Master of Accountancy program offers a path for students at all skill levels. An undergraduate degree in Accountancy or Business is not required. We also offer a five-year program for undergraduate students enrolled in the Bachelor of Accountancy and Bachelor of Business Administration program at the School of Business.
Each path of study requires a minimum of 30 credits, with 21 credits of coursework in accounting. Required courses can be waived with or without substitution depending on previous academic study and performance. In addition to the required courses, students also select from a wide range of electives in specialized accounting subjects, as well as other business topics that help them prepare for their professional certification and career goals.
