The film program offers a robust slate of courses that covers all aspects of filmmaking and will strengthen your individual interests and abilities. You'll study the theoretical, historical and cinematic foundations of film and learn the storytelling skills necessary to bring your artistic vision to life. In addition, the program also invites several industry professionals for special master classes every semester on subjects such as directing, producing, animation, and special effects. The BA in Film Studies and Production is designed for the student who is interested in the creation and production of narrative or documentary feature or short films. This comprehensive program allows you to study film theory and history while writing, designing, directing, and editing films in traditional and digital formats. Students in the BA program are required to complete a liberal arts minor.
