Courses allow you to develop the skills necessary to practice in the accounting profession. Students complete the accounting major and use their electives to study the necessary prerequisites for associate membership of the key Australian accounting professional bodies, Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA).
More than 300 scholarships are available at the university for undergraduate, graduate, and research students. International students are eligible for more than 200 UQ scholarships, including country-specific scholarships, India Global Leaders, and UQ Economic Scholarships, among others.
Although the scholarships offered by the University of Queensland are appropriate, international students can also apply for a number of external scholarships. Scholarship schemes, such as Australian awards scholarships, will pay not only the recipient's UQ tuition fee but also their travel and lodging expenses while in Australia. Scholarships range in value from AUD 2,000 to 50% tuition fee waivers.
