Is the IB Program Only for High-Achieving Students, or Can Everyone Apply?

The IB program is more hands-on and application-oriented. It covers a wider range of topics, allowing students to develop comprehensively. Students’ knowledge, not their memory or speed, is tested on IB exams. Until the Middle Years Program, there are no examinations (Class 10). The IB subjects place a greater emphasis on “how to learn” than “what to learn.” There are no required textbooks, and students are free to choose what they want to read.

IB’s goal is to develop global citizens. The IB program does, however, use the local curriculum as a starting point sometimes. The IB program is more difficult than the CBSE and ICSE curriculum. However, the challenge is with the quality of the assignments, not with the volume of work that has been assigned.

For kids aged 3 to 19, the IB offers four high-quality programmes that promote international education while also improving the environment. IB program promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, international mindedness, curiosity, and a positive learning and excellent environment. Students who complete the IB curriculum have distinct benefits because they learn to trust the world and ask the correct questions in order to arrive at the right answers.

As each child is unique, their strengths and weaknesses will vary. Math, for example, maybe challenging for some, whereas Biology may be difficult for others.
