IGCSE Grade 6 Syllabus

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is an exam based on the English language. It was created by the University of Cambridge International Examinations. The qualification is internationally recognised, and it opens many avenues for students who desire to study locally or internationally. IGCSEs are also offered by the examination boards Edexcel and OxfordAQA. The qualifications are based on individual fields of study, therefore for each subject taken, an “IGCSE” qualification is awarded. A First Language, a Second Language, Mathematics, and one or more Science disciplines are typical “core” subjects for IGCSE candidates.

At most IGCSE subjects, you can choose between Core or Extended papers (in Cambridge) and Foundation or Higher papers (in Edexcel). This is intended to make IGCSE subjects for grade 6 accessible to students of varying abilities. Here is the list of subjects in the IGCSE Grade 6 Syllabus:

  • English
  • Maths
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Biology
