Meeting the Entry Requirements of the University

Application Process

There are two stages in the application process for admissions in Russian universities:

  • Initial Application: In this stage the candidate would need to send the copies of all documents (certified) translated in Russian language.
  • Submitting documents to the university: In this stage a candidate would need to submit the original documents along with other certificates that are required by the university.

Final Steps

  • After submitting your application you must wait for the university to contact you.
  • After receiving acceptance letter from the university you must confirm your enrolment.
  • Once you have confirmed your enrolment you must start applying for Russian student visa.
  • After the visa application process you must apply for the required health insurance.

A candidate can apply for their Russian student visa by visiting the Russian embassy or Russian consulate in their home country. The Russian student visa is initially issued for 3 months, a candidate is supposed to supposed to visit and apply to the local division for visa extension. The candidate will now be issued with a multi visa valid for a year that will enable him/her to travel from and to Russia within the duration of the visa. A candidate is supposed to apply for visa extension when his/her visa is about to expire.
