The standard fee for IELTS General Testing and Academic Testing is ₹18,000. The cost for IELTS for UKVI is slightly higher, at ₹18,250, and IELTS Life Skills (A1 and B1) costs ₹17,000.

IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It measures the language proficiency of non-native speakers who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication. It uses a nine-band scale to identify proficiency levels, from non-user (band score 1) to expert (band score 9).
The IELTS test offers three main versions; the right version depends on your purpose of taking the test. IELTS Academic is for people applying for higher education, university, or professional work in an English-speaking country. IELTS General Training is suitable for people migrating to an English-speaking country for work, training, or school/college. The IELTS UKVI test is for people proving their English language proficiency for UK visa applications regarding work, study, or stay.
Yes, you can share your IELTS test scores directly with your chosen universities through the official booking portal, either by postal mail (up to five universities free of charge) or via the IELTS Results Service e-delivery. IELTS Online scores can only be shared via e-delivery. Make sure to confirm each University’s preferred method of receiving scores and provide the correct postal address or e-delivery account name.

The test scores for IELTS on Computer are released within 2 days, IELTS on Paper are released within 7 days, IELTS for UKVI are released within 13 days, and IELTS for Life Skills are released within 7 days. Your result will be sent as an IELTS Test Report Form in paper copy or digital version (eTRF), which you can share with organizations to verify your English proficiency. The IELTS score is valid for 2 years from the test date.
IELTS is scored on a scale of 0 to 9 Bands with a .5 band increment. The scores of all four sections are considered, and the average is taken as the overall score. The scorecard reflects Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking, and the Overall score.

Most colleges abroad have hard IELTS score cut-offs. While the cut-off changes from college to college, most top ones require you to score 7.5+ bands with no less than 7 bands in any section. They also have sectional score requirements. Students who don’t meet this English language proficiency requirement might not be able to secure a final admission letter.
