The SAT is typically conducted 8 times a year (March, May, June, August, September, October, November, and December). You can take the SAT exam as many times as you want.  However, it also depends on the program/college you are applying to. If the college requires you to submit your highest SAT scores, then you can take the test multiple times and send your highest scores to the college. Whereas if the college requires you to send all your score reports, then it is recommended that you should not give them more than three times.

Start early (Class 10–11) by understanding the Digital SAT format by College Board, then take a diagnostic test to identify your baseline. Enroll in structured coaching, practice regular full-length mock tests, track performance analytics, and seek personalized mentorship to improve weak areas. Consistent practice and expert guidance are key to achieving a 1500+ score.

Most students see 100–300+ point improvements with consistent practice. Our diagnostic tests, customized study plans, and expert mentoring help you systematically strengthen both Math and Reading & Writing sections.

While most colleges abroad don’t have any hard SAT score cutoffs, it is advised to score within the 25th and 75th percentile range for your target college. Colleges abroad take a holistic view of your entire application, giving you the freedom to apply wherever you want. However, a high SAT score that is above the median SAT score of your target college will improve your chances of admission.

The SAT consists of two sections: Reading and Writing, which have 54 questions in total and measure skills like grammar, effective communication, and your ability to understand and interpret various texts; and Math, which has 44 questions and focuses on concepts like algebra, geometry, problem-solving, and data analysis. The entire exam takes 2 hours and 14 minutes to complete.

The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a digitally adaptive, computer-based test used primarily in the United States for college admissions. It is designed to assess academic skills such as reading, writing, and math, and a student’s capability to use those skills in college.

The Digital SAT has two sections: Reading & Writing (64 minutes, 54 questions) and Math (70 minutes, 44 questions). Each section is equally divided into two modules:

  • English 27 Questions – 32 mins *2
  • Math 22 Questions – 35 mins *2

Each section uses two adaptive modules where Module 2’s difficulty adjusts based on your Module 1 performance. The exam is scored from 400–1600 with no negative marking, giving you every opportunity to maximize your score.

The SAT is scored on a total scale of 400 to 1600. Evidence-Based Reading and Writing combined ranges from 200 to 800, and Math ranges from 200 to 800, respectively. Scores are based on the number of correct answers, with subscores and cross-test scores provided for deeper performance analysis and no negative marking.

The SAT and ACT are both standardised tests with different content, intent, and structure used for college admissions. The SAT is shorter than the ACT and entirely digital, and it emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving. The ACT, which is available in both paper and digital formats, emphasizes content-based and real-world applications. It has an entire optional section on Science and an optional Writing section.Â
