The most dominant language in the current era is English. This language holds a record-breaking number of 1.5 billion, the most widely used language in the world. The English language is not only for the scripture of humans but as well as for technology also. The HLL (high-level language) which is used as the technological scripture, even though it requires the Binary system to understand the HLL.

In this era, English is spoken in almost every corner of the world even in non-native countries, but there are countries dominated by the English language those are United States of America, Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland, Jamaica, Antigua & Barbuda, The Bahamas, Belize, Grenada, Guyana, Malta, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados.

Well, the top 6 countries have established their own education system and provide some of the best quality of education in the world for both UG and PG courses. To be able to study abroad, one needs to give EP Tests to get a VISA. There are several EP tests, but the top 2 are IELTS and PTE. In this article, we will discuss the difference between IELTS and PTE scores and the overall comparison. Due to the fact that some countries may prefer IELTS or PTE according to their needs or rules and regulations.

 

IELTS and PTE Tests

IELTS

IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. The aim of this test is to judge the proficiency of speaking and writing English in native English-speaking countries, at a time of complex assessment, and situation, if one wishes to settle or study in the country. The British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and Cambridge English, jointly owns the IELTS.

 

PTE

PTE stands for the Pearson Test of English. The aim of this is similar to the IELTS exam, providing a secure test for English proficiency testing if one is applying for study abroad or migration, required to clear the VISA process, especially for the countries like Australia, UK, and New Zealand.

 

Reason for taking the EP Test like IELTS and PTE

Many students or aspirants wish to settle and study abroad for better living standards with higher income packages. But Native English-speaking Countries set provisions for non-English speakers. Thus, one needs to go for the IELTS or PTE to prove their English-speaking proficiency level.

The scores of IELTS and PTE tests, give extra weight to the Curriculum Vitae of a student or an aspirant. It indicates the candidate has a good understanding of the English language and can speak and write in any realistic situation among the commoners or in a business area.

IELTS and PTE, Importance to Native English Countries

PTE or IELTS which is Better for Canada

Well, most of the factors tend to favor IELTS over PTE tests, better for Canada. And there is a mob that always recommended going for the IELTS exam over the PTE test. Due to 2 factors which are given below:

 

PTE vs IELTS for Canada

Factor 1: Canada not going to consider the PTE scores for PR (Permanent Residency). Because the IELTS score is supported by every university and college in Canada.

Factor 2: Even though the PTE exam is accepted in Canada, the majority of them accept the IELTS Testing system because of a constructive way of taking the exam in a more traditional way of methods, which is more accurate to judge someone’s English proficiency ability.

 

PTE or IELTS which is Better for Australia

When it comes to the choice of IELTS or PTE for Australia, there is no such mandatory or favorable testing system. Both EP tests are accepted by Australia. It is more of a personal choice because the IELTS is a paper-based exam and PTE is a computer-based exam. It also depends on computer literacy. Although the IELTS or PTE exams are accepted by all universities and colleges in Australia.

 

PTE or IELTS which is Better for UK

The IELTS is much better for the UK than PTE. Because the IELTS is itself conducted and flagship run by the British Council. PTE is also accepted by UK universities and colleges. The PTE is totally computer-based and IELTS is paper-based.

 

PTE or IELTS which is Better for US

The IELTS and PTE are both considered in the US. But IELTS is better for the US according to the mob. Still due to the fact that the US conducts its own EP test called TOEFL which is more popular in the USA, universities, and colleges.

 

PTE or IELTS which is Better for New Zealand

When it comes to the choice of IELTS or PTE for New Zealand, there is no such mandatory or favorable testing system. Both EP tests are accepted by New Zealand. The Difference Between IELTS vs. PTE

The listening (half an hour), Academic Reading (for 60 minutes), Academic Writing (60 mins) and Speaking (for 11 to 14 mins). In the PTE there are a total of 3 sections: Speaking and Writing (54-67 mins), Reading (for 29 to 30 mins) and Listening for (30 to 43 mins).
