Northeastern University Planning to Reopen its Campuses

Amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, international universities have been racking their brains on how to make things comfortable for international students, without compromising on safety and health.

As a positive, Northeastern University is strategising a phased plan to return to the working mode, with staff and faculty back to its campuses. Though no specific date has been announced yet, it is likely that the university will reopen classrooms and student resident halls in the coming weeks.

The University leadership is conceptualising plans to reopen research labs and administrative offices starting in late May and early June. A plan is also being created for robust testing ad contact tracing.

However, the reopening of each campus location will depend on the real-time COVID-19 data. It will also adhere to the guidelines from public health and government authorities. The central focus will be safety and good health of everyone.
