Ireland Visa Centers Reopening in India from 6th July

On Monday, July 6, 2021, the Irish Embassy is pleased to announce the reopening of various Visa Application Centres (VACs) in India. This is the first step in a strategy to reopen all VACs across India in stages over the next months, subject to Irish Government Covid-19 measures and any local restrictions.

The operation of these VACs will be closely monitored by a number of stakeholders, including VFS and Ireland’s Immigration Service Delivery (ISD), and will be governed by public health recommendations issued by the Irish Health Service Executive (HSE) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Initially, the VACs will only accept long-stay applications (‘D’ categories). Due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions in Ireland, no tourism or short-stay visas (‘C’ categories) will be approved at this time. Please be assured that, in accordance with Irish Government policy, the Irish Embassy fully intends to resume full visa service as soon as public health concerns have been addressed.

When submitting their application to the VAC, all students must include a colour copy of their visa application as well as their original paperwork and passport (every page of your passport, including unused pages). Part 11 of your application should include the colour copy stapled together and tagged. When submitting your application to the VAC, you must also use the VFS Check and Verify Service.

You must clearly mention which institution or college you will attend on the signed avats summary sheet (e.g., If you are attending Trinity College Dublin you would write TCD).
