Agents Foresee Growth in Canada in Terms of Its Market Share of International Students

A recent survey conducted by a global education provider spells some good news for Canada as a study destination. The survey was conducted for some 400 agents from 63 countries.

Government officials handling the Covid-19 crisis in Canada suggest that Canada’s market share of international students is likely to grow following Covid-19. Canada is expected to have a higher share of 21% – up from 19%. Also, Canada was rated highly in terms of an increase in a) interest in the country during the current pandemic and b) its reputation as a safe and welcoming nation.

The UK also is expected to witness a growth in its market share, by 1%.

Other than Canada, the two countries that have been rated highly for heightened interest during the pandemic and reputation for safety, are Australia and New Zealand.
