Students should concentrate on a particular discipline in-depth within a specific department while exploring other areas of interest through colleges. It offers over 200-degree programs, of which 80 are undergraduate majors and 120 are graduate and certificate programs.

At Drexel, students have the best of all worlds—a booming campus community situated in the center of one of America's great cities. There is no one form of Drexel student, and the University's clubs and activities represent its diversity. It's providing anything for everybody. There are more than 350 student-run organizations providing resources for event planning, financial management, and organizational growth. Drexel Sports is a significant part of campus culture. More than 9,000 students participate in a club or intramural sports each year. The list of athletic opportunities is comprehensive, covering everything from ultimate frisbee and field to rugby and water polo. The number of options available and the amount of participation are restricted only by the interest of each student.

The University City campus of 74 acres is situated in the heart of West Philadelphia, with a lively neighborhood to the west and the emblematic 30th Street Station to the east. This location close to lodging, restaurants and public transportation makes Drexel's main campus extremely convenient for both students who reside in Philadelphia and those who fly. Students are given a multitude of opportunities to excel in University City, with a wide variety of academic offerings available. They will also be surrounded by the emblematic landmarks of Philadelphia, like nationally famous museums right in their backyard.

Drexel provides merit-based, undergraduate scholarships to candidates of diverse connections. Most scholarships are awarded as students start enrolling as Drexel students on a full-time basis. Applicants for the first year and transfer (students qualifying for a second bachelor's degree are not eligible); only domestic and foreign applicants are eligible to apply. The amount of the grant for a merit scholarship varies and is determined on the basis of a review of the student's qualifications by the Admissions Committee. The University also provides scholarships to students competing in official university athletic programs, with prizes ranging from $1,000.00 to full tuition. Along with the Athletic Scholarship, the university offers additional scholarships to its students: Drexel Legacy Scholarships, Drexel Performing Arts Scholarships, etc.
