The SAT test is divided into two categories: Reading & Writing and Math.

Both the Reading & Writing section and the Math section of the SAT use a 2-stage adaptive test design.

In each sections of Digital Reading & Writing (RW) there are 25 operational questions and 2 pre-test questions. In each section of Digital Math there are 20 operational questions and 2 pre-test questions.

Total 54 questions in Digital Reading & Writing (RW) section and 44 questions in Digital Math section.

1st module & 2nd module requires 32 minutes each in Digital Reading & Writing (RW) section. 1st module & 2nd module requires 35 minutes each in Digital Math section. .

The total time for the SAT test is 64 minutes for the Reading & Writing section and 70 minutes for the Math section.

On average, for the Reading & Writing section, there is approximately 1.19 minutes available per question. In the Math section, there is approximately 1.59 minutes available per question.
