SAT Subject Tests, as the name suggests, relate to specific subject areas. There are 20 tests offered across five subject areas: mathematics, languages, science, history, and literature. These are hour-long tests that students take to demonstrate their readiness to take up college-level courses in particular subject areas. The levels of the tests match with the corresponding levels of high school curricula. Each test is scored on a scale of 200 to 800.
The best way to prepare for the subjects in which you want to take the SAT II’s is a 2-3 week focused preparation — building concepts, practicing, taking mock tests, and refining test taking strategies.
Remember that the more you know about a test, the better your chances of scoring well on it!
