A composite SAT score of 1200+ and above is required to apply for admission to the universities. However, a composite SAT score of 1350+ is considered for scholarships at top universities in India & Abroad. If your score is low, you can consider retaking the test to improve your past performance before applying to the desired university.
SAT score has been a key component in the application process for students applying for undergraduate admissions abroad. Since 2018, nearly 35 premier Indian universities and more than 50 institutes have started accepting SAT scores as part of their admission process and this list of institutions is growing.
India’s acceptance of the SAT was made possible by India Global Alliance founded by the College Board of India in partnership with leading Indian universities, which simplified the higher education admission process for Indian students significantly. Now, students can take one test, SAT, in place of many entrance tests and can apply to universities both abroad and in India. SAT score is not restricted to one stream, unlike other entrance tests in India. It is applicable for admission in multiple streams like Engineering, BTech, Liberal Arts, Law, and Business Management & Others. Click here to read more.
