Shri R.P. Khaitan 

Founder, RAL Group

Mr. Rajendra Prasad Khaitan is the founder and Chairman of RAL Consumer Products Ltd., a company that has diverse interests ranging from Solar solutions, LED products to Baby Care and Personal Grooming products. He is also the Joint Managing Director of Indo National Limited (a BSE listed Co.), the second largest battery and torch company in India with a market share of 32%. A progressive thinker and an industrialist, he founded the Salora International Limited (a BSE listed Co.) in the year 1975. He brought Ericsson to India in 1969 in a JV to make military switchboards in India. He launched the Sony Ericsson in India and it became one among the top two mobile brands in the country. He has managed many successful JVs/partnerships in India with Matsushita, Panasonic, Daewoo, Ericsson, Energizer Holdings, The Princeton Review, Luv n Care to name a few. For his exemplary efforts, he was awarded the 'Electronics - Man of the Year Award’ in 2002 by the Consumer Electronics and Television Manufacturers Association (CETMA).

Mr. Khaitan is a passionate philanthropist and an avid social worker actively involved in the betterment of the rural poor of our country. He actively spends his time in Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan, which runs 13,000 schools pan India for the under-privileged. He also visits Friends of Tribal Society, which has over 36,000 single teacher schools across India and is a member of the management committee/board of Chinmaya Mission, Ramakrishna Mission, and Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College.



Nidhi Modi

Executive Director, RAL Group

She energizes the environment of Manya Education Private Limited (MEPL) with her "Let's get it done, and get it done best" spirit. A double major in Business and Computer Information Systems from the Kelley School of Business at the Indiana University, Bloomington, she embarked on her professional career by co-founding MEPL. Nidhi, a visionary, played an integral role in drafting the initial business plan and carrying out the pre-operative activities of MEPL while still at the business school.

A serial entrepreneur and a marketing natural, she then went on to found one of India’s largest solar off grid brands “MITVA” and now heads the solar, LED, childcare and personal grooming divisions at RAL Consumer Products Ltd. She is also an investor through Intellecap, which is a pioneer in providing innovative business solutions that help build and scale profitable and sustainable enterprises dedicated to social and environmental change in social impact companies.



Aakash Chaudhry

Director, Aakash Educational Services

Aakash Chaudhry is a Director at Aakash Educational Services Pvt. Ltd (AESPL) – one of the largest medical & engineering test prep companies in India, with over 130 classroom centers in 22 states, AESPL trains over 1,50,000 classroom students annually. Before joining AESPL, he worked with IT firms such as Infosys Technologies and Cognizant Technology Solutions in enterprise solutions. With his passion for education, delivery, technology and marketing services. Aakash is on a mission to take the cause of education to the deserving minds across the country through its classroom as well as cutting edge digital solutions.

Aakash is an alumnus of Harvard Business School. By profession, Aakash is an engineer with a bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences and an MBA from Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. Aakash is the founder of a mobile technology products company, Flynk Innovations and has also produced award-winning movie by the name "Rough Book", under the banner of Aerika Cineworks.



Ira Gupta

HR Director, Microsoft Corporation (India) Pvt. Ltd.

Ira is the HR Director at Microsoft and is responsible for leading HR priorities and developing HR initiatives that support Microsoft’s SMSG (India P&L) and MMDS (erstwhile Nokia mobile) businesses across India. In this role, her priorities include aligning the organization’s people strategy with business objectives, building a transformational and diverse organization, looking after talent development & management, and implementing effective HR systems and policies across the 1,200 strong employee base in India.

Previously, Ira has spent about 16 years at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare in various roles across multiple functions. She joined as a management trainee in HR, moved earlier to a role in the Sales and within two years was a member of the Sales Leadership Team. By 30, she was leading corporate communications and CSR for the company and was the first woman and youngest ever member of the leadership team of GSK India. Subsequently, she moved back to HR as GM for talent management and later to strategy, compensation, and benefits. She has led large scale organizational change projects, including setting up HR Shared Services across countries and business units.



R Venkatesh Iyer

Venkatesh (Venki) graduated from IIM Ahmedabad in 1982 and joined NIIT as a core member of the initial team that established the company and made it a force to reckon with. During his 23 years at NIIT, he has always been regarded as someone who can deliver whatever may be the odds.

Since 2006, Venkatesh has been a Senior Partner at Vyaktitva and has been working on various organizational design, training and coaching assignments focused on individual and organizational performance. He has designed and delivered solutions for premier organizations in the country, including Colgate, Pfizer, Novartis, Sanofi, HUL, PepsiCo, Bausch and Lomb, Airtel, Genpact, Hewitt, Globus, Whirlpool, ITC, and IBM. Venkatesh is an exceptional team player building high performing teams and in guiding and enabling them in conceptualizing and executing complex projects and is also an experienced CEO and CXO level coach.

A champion of empowering the under-privileged with skills and business opportunities, Venkatesh Co-promoted B2R Technologies, a rural based BPO social enterprise based in the Himalayan hinterland in 2009.



Arvind Malhan

Partner, New Silk Route (NSR)

Arvind is the Partner at New Silk Route (NSR), an India and South Asia focused private equity firm. He has led and managed the firm’s investments in VRL Logistics, Varsity Education Management, Cafe Coffee Day, Ortel Communications and 9x Media. Prior to joining NSR, he has held several key positions - Executive Director at JP Morgan Private Capital Asia, Director of TVG Capital Partners and Principal at the New Enterprise Associates (NEA), US. Arvind began his career at McKinsey and Company, where he conceptualised strategic initiatives for leading global companies in the information technology and financial services industries.

A Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he pursued his M.B.A. from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania where he received Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Nu, and Sigma Xi honours. He is a member of the Young Presidents' Organisation (YPO), a Fellow of the Aspen Institute’s India Leadership Initiative, and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. He is a Trustee of One Billion Literates Foundation, a non-profit initiative focused on imparting English literacy to underprivileged children.
